Privacy Policy

This page describes, in plain language, exactly what XRP Tools does and doesn't do with your data. There's no account system and no wallet connection on this site — most of what would normally go in a privacy policy simply doesn't apply here, so we've kept this short rather than padding it out with boilerplate that doesn't reflect reality.

What we don't do

We don't use advertising cookies, we don't build an advertising profile of you, and we don't sell your data to data brokers. We do use one analytics tool — see below — which is a different thing.

Analytics

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors actually use this site: aggregated click/scroll behavior, anonymized session recordings, and heatmaps. Clarity sets its own cookies to do this (Microsoft's own documentation covers exactly what it collects and how). We use this data to find and fix confusing or broken parts of the site — not to build advertising profiles, and not to sell it to anyone. If you'd rather not be included, use your browser's tracking-protection or cookie-blocking settings; the site works fully either way.

What's actually stored in your browser

One small, functional-only item lives in sessionStorage (which is not a cookie — it holds nothing across browser sessions and clears automatically when you close the tab): a short-lived cache of the live price data, so the calculators don't have to refetch it on every page within the same visit. This isn't used to identify you or build a profile. If your browser blocks sessionStorage entirely, the site still works — that cache just doesn't persist between page loads.

Server logs

Like effectively every website, our hosting infrastructure keeps standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. These aren't tied to a personal profile.

Live price data

The calculators fetch current XRP prices from our own API, which in turn sources data from a third-party market data provider. Your browser talks to our API, not directly to that provider, so your IP address isn't exposed to it as part of a normal page visit.

Address lookups (Wallet Lookup, Scam Checker, Airdrop Checker)

When you submit an XRP address to the Wallet Lookup or Scam Checker tools, that address (a public value that lives on the XRP Ledger already, not personal information about you) is sent to our own API, which forwards the lookup to a third-party XRP Ledger data provider and returns the result. We don't store the addresses you look up, and we have no way to connect an address you enter to your identity. We do not ask for, and this site has no way to collect, any private key, seed phrase, or wallet connection — never enter one here or anywhere that asks for it unprompted.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children, doesn't knowingly collect data from anyone, and has no age-gated features.

Changes to this policy

If what this site actually does changes — adding analytics, ads with tracking, an account system — this page will be updated to match before that change goes live, not after.
